Leon Wenzel
von vibetypeLeon Wenzel is a classical pianist currently based in Brussels. For him, being a solo artist and musician in the classical field means the adventure of sharing and experiencing music from past centuries with a contemporary audience. His concert programs feature works that amaze us and allow us to encounter ourselves anew – regardless of whether they date from the mid-1650s or were composed only last month. To make these diverse musical works accessible to today's audience, Leon Wenzel sees introductory words as a double opportunity: for the newcomer, they can be a tool for the first journey into unknown territory, while the experienced listener finds inspiration to encounter familiar works anew. With the goal of creating a shared musical experience in concert, Leon Wenzel can be experienced on stage in various ways: as a soloist in a piano recital or with an orchestra, as a chamber musician and lied accompanist. In collaboration with actors and authors, he develops multifaceted concert formats and, as the moderator of his own concerts, creates a personal connection between the work and the audience. Leon Wenzel is currently studying in Brussels as part of a master's program at the Conservatoire Royale with Prof. Gabriel Teclu.
