Izabella Effenberg & Sisters in Jazz

The performances of the Polish vibraphonist and composer Izabella Effenberg are an event for the ear and eye, also thanks to the countless exotic instruments she masters. Her musical cosmos moves between jazz, classical and world music. For this concert, the multi-award-winning musician gathers a group of renowned Polish jazz musicians around her - all unique instrumentalists: guitarist Magdalena Czwojda, bassist Klaudia Wachtarczyk and drummer Dorota Piotrowska. Jazz has always had a special meaning in Poland - as an expression of freedom, creativity and cosmopolitanism. Even in times of political oppression, it was considered a symbol of resistance and artistic independence. The Polish jazz tradition is rich and vibrant, shaped by personalities such as Krzysztof Komeda, whose music still resonates today.
